The desktop

The desktop

What runs in the browser tab, and how it relates to the API.

The app at app.auray.ai runs in a browser, on a computer or a phone. Four of its apps generate — Photos, Music, Video and 3D — and Playground gives every model we offer a page of its own, made with the same composer; Library keeps everything you made.

Cinema Studio makes a film shot by shot in a project, with the AI Director to plan it, make it and lay out the cut.

#It uses the API you use

The app has no private way to spend credits: Generate sends the same POST queue.auray.run/<address> your code would, follows the job through GET /v1/jobs/{id} and cancels it through DELETE /v1/jobs/{id}. A chat model's answer is the turn POST /v1/chat takes, priced and settled the same way. What you see in the app is what the API answered.

So the desktop's spend appears in GET /v1/usage under "origin": "app", beside your code's under "origin": "api", against one balance.

#What it does not do

It never holds your API key. A key minted in Account is shown once and used by your code; the app's own requests are made under a session key that lasts 12 hours and is revoked when you sign out.
